Van Raden Industries, Inc.
We are an Oregon corporation owned by Wayne Van Raden. Wayne has worked most of his life, with his now deceased, father, Bruce Van Raden, who had more than 58 years of manufacturing experience. The elder Van Raden was one of the original stockholders of Peerless Trailer in Tualain, Oregon until his family sold the business in 1974.
The family patriarch, Harvey Van Raden, Bruce's father, founded Peerless Trailer in 1944. The family built its manufacturing credentials on their ability to design and engineer specialized hauling equipment and suspensions systems for the heavy haul trucking industry. Harvey's son and grandson have carried on the tradition with Van Raden Industries, Inc.
Van Raden Industries, Inc. manufactures and installs an add-on lift-axle that increased the allowable gross weights on trucks. The company also specializes in the manufacturing and repairs of specializes heavy hauling vehicle trailers and services and installs truck/trailer related equipment as well.
The Flexmaster lift axle unit is a patented assemby of time tested parts, such as, Rockwell axles and industry standard airbags. It uses components which have been in the market place for over 20 years but combines them in a new way. Van Raden Industries largest lift axle customer is Jack Gray Transport. The customer hauls refuse to Arlington, Oregon from Portland and has used the product over 6,554,000,000 miles without a breakdown in more than 196 months.
Other significant custom's include Weyerhaeuser Corp., J.R. Simplot, ARCO Alaska, Waste Management Corporation and Boise Cascade. The company currently holds patents on its lift axle design and The Can-Man.
Each of our employees accepts the personal challenge to build the best product in the market place. Van Raden Industries, Inc. currently occupies a 20,500 square foot, centrally located manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon and currently employs 10 people. Expansion is planned to meet an increase in market share.
